Some new music

My good friend Marc de Saint Vincent have now the premiere EP out on all digital platforms, iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music, Google Play, Traxsource and Apple Music. The name of the EP is “Dies Möbius” and I hope all you who read this add it to your playlists or buy and download it. On Swedish iTunes it was easier to search for the name of the EP instead of the Marcs name.

The music, far from the pop I usually like is actually perfect to put on and play while you lay down and want to unwind or relax, a bit of a perfect meditation background and very good in the specific genre.

Again, I hope you will give this EP a chance, and I hope to give a friend and very talented guy the support he well deserves.

Dear Apple

Yes I am sure you all thought I will stop to put this forward but not at all, cause it kind of stop me from being the 100% happy looked in Apple Customer.

I am happy with Apple, most of the times. Even if updates sometimes makes me go crazy cause of the changes and force you to sit down for hours to fix your photos or music or files when gettin´used to it it is usually ok.

But iTunes need your attention Apple. You must make it possible to click “Keep all mp3 files and meta data” IF you as a customer decide to subscribe to Apple Music.

My music library might be larger than most normal users and it have taken years of tagging, sorting and find correct album covers. Hours of get the genres I like and playlists I want. It is actually today impossible for me to subscribe to the streaming and Apple Music even if I really want to since if so all this hard work is in vain and as a customer you need to start all over to tag, sort and genre up your library.

All new bought music, ok then I can rename the metadata for each time I buy an album or song but the once already in place…. Must be able to say “No do not change to the version available in App Store” and it is so easy, as said above a “Do not match my mp3s” when starting to subscribe to the service.

On the edge to jump into a music file tagging nightmare

Apple Music / iTunes Match

First, if any Apple person don’t like that I use this image, please let me know, i will change it.

So, after chatting with the iTunes support at Apple it seems clear that my worries to finally update to iTunes Match and/or Apple Music was true and it will take a huge amount of time to fix the music library if I subscribe.

But since I really want the service it might be the only way, even if the “only way” will render weeks of restoring the tag system I have in place.

I wished for Apple to admit that I’m not the only one with a huge music library who wait and wait for some kind of solution, like when you first start to subscribe and upload a large amount of files to have the options

1. I’d like to match all files

2. Only upload mp3 files without iTunes Match

This should really benefit Apple cause anal music files tagging persons like me reject the service or even more for a DJ with a large collection tagged for his or her work… They not going to use the service and go bananas over the changes of the tagging and must redo it fast.

In any case, I want to subscribe so I might need to take deep breath and with horror watch the files change names, genre, album name, artist name (mainly an issue when the artists have names in Arabic, Russian, Chinese etc) – yes I think about it… Scary.

Or, I wonder if I can create a second library and just use one of them for the cloud service. That way its possible to upload in sections, just though of this. WOW, new mail to the support 🙂
