So now it’s time to see what kind of music made my decade, 2010 – 2019…
Just let me say that I never would have guessed that my 80s idol Amanda Lear should end up with the most played song between 2010 and 2019. But there she is with “C´est la vie” – most likely cause it is one of the best pre-party songs ever recorded so she never left the playlists.
C´est la vie – Amanda Lear
Something in your eyes – Jenny Silver
Agathe – Roberto Bellarosa
Signed on my tattoo – Army of lovers feat Gravitonas
Can’t take my eyes off you – Jimmy Somerville
All about the bass – Maghan Trainor
Aldrig, Aldrig – Andreas Lundstedt
Story of a heart (7th heaven radio) – Steps
The fire – Elin Bergman
En una vida – Coral Segovia
The list of most played Swedish and French music 2010 – 2019 looks like this
And a quick look at the albums over 10 years then…
Agustin Galiana – Agustin Galiana
Veritas – Agnes
A – Agnetha Fältskog
Monkey Me – Myléne Farmer
Tears on the dance floor – Steps
Désobéissance – Myléne Farmer
Ensemble – Kendji Girac
Undressed – Kim Cesarion
So, maybe you find some new songs finding the once above on your streaming platform, if so let me know
So we finally reached the point when it’s time to award the “Björn Award” – without any red carpet or journalists. People kind of do not care at all when it’s time for the “Björnie”. But still, in my little world of lists I do them and have done so since the 80s. Crazy I know.
So, the most played songs 2019:
So am i – Ava Max
Better than me – Ten Tonnes
L´escalier – The Pirouettes
Vakuum – Orup
Look back at it – A Boogie wit da Hoodie
Goodbye – Jason Derulo & David Guetta…
Ta main – Claudio Capéo
How do you sleep – Sam Smith
Uninivited – Freemasons feat Bailey Tzuke
Happy Thoughts – Felix Sandman & Benjamin Ingrosso
And break this down in most played Swedish songs… (don’t ask why Azucar Moreno is in there, wrongly tagget)
And at the same time, we need to check to most played French songs in 2019…
And the fun thing with making lists of music right now is that it’s time for a 2010 – 2019 lists – but we do them tomorrow.
Just as the Swedish selection 2019, Melodifestivalen, did the Eurovision 2019 let us down music wise. Only a few songs stand out but on the other hand the broadcaster in Israel presented one of the best Eurovision productions ever. So for the show I am willing to give the highest mark.
But the songs then, the 20 most played Eurovision song from the contest 2019 turned out to be:
Chameleon – Muchela (Malta)
She got it – Luca Hänni (Switzerland)
Run with the lions – Jurijus (Lithuania)
Say Na Na Na (Rico Bernasconi radio edit) – Serhat (San Marino)
Too late for love (Single) – John Lundvik (Sweden)
Truth – Chingiz (Azerbaijan)
Sebi (Dare to dream version) – Zala Kralj & Gasper Santi (Slovenia)
Soldi (Vigiland remix) – Mahmood (Italy)
Say Na Na Na (single) – Serhat (San Marino)
Love is forever – Leonora (Denmark)
Soldi (Remix) – Mohmood (Italy)
Too late for love (Pelago remix) – John Lundvik (Sweden)
Sing Na Na Na (German version) – Serhat (San Marino)
So we finally there, time to check the iTunes statistics and actually see what I was listen to during 2019 and as natural order I start with the most listen to Melodifestivalen songs followed by the most listen to Eurovision Song Contest songs.
Then upcoming weekend focus on the complete iTunes library and what song, album and artist got my attention passed year.
But today, Melodifestivalen 2019, looking at the amount of playtimes for the Melodifestivalen songs 2019 it was a bad year, a few songs stand out but the rest did not reach a lot of plays.
Mina Bränder – Zeana feat Anis Don Demina
Ashes to ashes – Anna Bergendahl
Känner dig – Anton Hagman
Habibi – Dolly Style
Too late for love (single version) – John Lundvik
Ashes to ashes (Soundfactory radio) – Anna Bergendahl
Somebody wants – The lovers of Valdero

I do – Arvingarna
Stormbringer – Pegan Fury
I do (English version) – Arvingarna
Too late for love (Palego remix) – John Lundvik
Hello (Remix) – Mohombo & Youssou N´Dour

Om om och om igen – Omar Rudberg
Norrsken – Jon Henrik Fjällgren
Victorious – Lina Hedlund
Not with me – Wiktoria
Kärleken finns kvar – Ann-Louise Hanson
On my own – Bishara
I think even I will be surprised if any of the songs end up on the general list over most played songs in 2019.
Thinking about it, stay in, do nothing, watch tv… No I decided to go out and at least see some people, and as always listen to other peoples conversations (I see it as learning French).
So a few beers and smoking. As you know I have gone from real smoking to IQOS, and again the only thing I wish IQOS will try to find is a HEET tasting like real cigarette smoking. The HEETs on the market do not have the “taste”, but I go for it.
And tomorrow is the last day of 2019, almost do not believe it.
Last Sunday in 2019, feels like a joke but it is not. And here I am doing more or less nothing of it. Yes, a lot of the plans for the 2 vacation weeks I now have been wasted cause of the strike, a strike I am now very tiered of.
But we will see, in any case it feels like the New Year will be a calm one and more depending on weather. We will see. Hopefully I will be able to meet up with some other people not knowing what to do and join me up at the top of Montmartre.
