So, life going back to normal the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest is over. We thank Tel Aviv and take the circus to the Netherlands next year.

For a second year in a row a song I have at the end of my personal score board take the trophy. So its hard to not sound a bit grumpy. But it was no surprise this year while I last year was sure that the jury groups would have saved Europe from Nettas victory. Duncan been the favorite since the song was announced as the Dutch entry even if I never got the hype.

But let us celebrate the winner of the public vote, Norway! A bit of a surprise to me but well done Keiino.

The last and final download below, result with my comments and of course I must rub it in a bit… My prediction that Iceland would do some political protesting when it was clear they not going to win (or if win from the main stage).

ESC – With less than an hour to start

The picture is my iTunes and the 10 most played entries so far (this will change before the end of the summer but for now).

Any other news during the day? Not many but I still need to put up a warning for Australia cause of their amazing show and late start number.

If not, something I have avoided so far the fact that Madonna will enter the stage in Tel Aviv and the hype among the Eurovision fans. And I understand, it is amazing to have Madonna there but please… When I read fans almost peeing in their pants over this and actually thinking her participation is proof of her being a Eurovision fan. WHAT!?

How can anyone even believe that Madonna takes part for any other reason than marketing her new soon to be released album? Really? Eurovision is one of the most watched music shows in the world and to be able to promote a new album live in front of such a huge amount of viewers, and get paid for it, not even Madonna (if even still a mega star, not that mega today that she was in the 80s 90s 00s) can say no to that opportunity.

It will be fun to see if EBU will say anything about a new Madonna album coming up, maybe even show the CD cover? I am also curious to see her face latest updates. And who look most like Madonna, Tamta (for Cyprus) or Madonna herself.

But OK, now we wait for a fantastic show and if anyone is able to reach the stage to disturb the contest or any political manifestations which country will be the target? And if Iceland win, and no ban stay on the band Hatari will they or will they not take a chance to wave a Palestinian flag?

So we have had the two semifinals and the final lineup and start order been announced and some favorites raised among the participants.

I have finally finalized the “2019 Eurovision book” and you can download it from this webpage. Unfortunately WordPress do not allow huge PDF files so I provide some options below.

Semifinal no 2

So, after a day of rest from the Eurovision world, at least for normal people, its time for the second Semi.

The second one is kind of 10 times harder to pass through from than from the first one. Here you find most of the favorites to win on Saturday but also some of the songs I really don´t like so it will be thrilling evening.

As always, to make the final night a thriller your own favorites must be in the final together with some of the songs you hate but with potential change to win. Then the final night will be an amazing evening.

Yesterdays ESC semi 1

So, we have a take off for the Eurovision 2019 and the semifinal number 1 ended with not many surprises but let’s see.

The first semifinal was the one to enter with a good song, cause it was an easier semi to qualify to the final from. Semi 2 tomorrow is packed with good songs and will kick out more real finalists from the competition than yesterdays semi 1. So to not qualify from yesterdays competition… You might now have stand a chance anyway.

Watching ESC on French TV I can only say I have no idea if the hosts made a good job cause the French team speaks over everything. Even when they say that should listen to the hosts they speak over everything.

And no one can be happy to see Netta again but as the winner last year we won’t be able to hide from her and Dana International, serious? She was the guest at Melodifestivalen 2019 so kind of not a surprise. And why not market a new single? Even Madonna will use Eurovision for that reason on Saturday.

And the songs? Not much surprises there either, I wish Serbia never passed on to the final but at the end I managed to place 8 of my own top 10 (and 8 from my list of guesses) so I must say I am happy.

Any songs who might climb in my results on Saturday? Yes Australia, the act was amazing, so beautiful and lifted the song from mediocre Opera to 3 minutes of fun. San Marina might have surprised in the other way sounded “not so good” but many singers must have problem with their in ear sets cause many of them turned out to be out of key yesterday.

And the sound was one thing the broadcaster must work on, some songs had almost no music, others no singing from the main performer whilst the chorus was perfect. So work on that please.

Semifinal no 1 2019 Eurovision

Tonight it´s finally time to kick off the Eurovision Song Contest from Tel Aviv in Israel. Semifinal no 1 is on paper (and in ears) not as good as semi final 2 so tonight whatever can happen for the reason that not really sure I even can find 10 songs in this heat that deserves to pass to the final. I know, lifespan’s not fair-
